HAPPY INTERNATIONAL ZINE MONTH!
A few years ago I mused about having an International Zine Month so I registered with Chase’s Calendar to make it official! I figured July was a great month to choose because it is the 24 Hour Zine Thing month. Now there is a month dedicated to zines! I started a blog for it but it has been neglected. I did some updates today and added some events. Check it out.

I plan on wearing a zine related shirt for as many days of July as I can…and I have been to 1o Portland Zine Symposiums and I have been to over a dozen other zine events in 10 cities in 4 different countries (Dave Roche, from On Subbing, and I have a friendly little competition going!) I have a lot of zine T-shirts.

International Zine month for me will be releasing issue 2 of my perzine On A Sugar High (first issue came out in 2002), taking part in the 24 Hour Zine Thing, attending zine events in Auckland and of course Auckland Zinefest. Have also been encouraging some of my friends to make zines.
