This morning I woke up in and I took Jess to the airport at 7am and climbed back into bed with Paul but noticed this:
woke up to a rainbow curiously placed over a Joy Division poster. Apparently it was made with a CD reflection but it looked cool.
Since we had a rental car still we decided to take a trip to a brewery we hadn’t been to before. We haven’t done this in awhile but after Paul first moved here we tried to go to a new brewery every month… we sort of ran out of breweries that were easily bike accessible. Occasionally we would get a zipcar but today we had the car still and went out to Estacada to go to the Fearless Brewery. I didn’t realize how far Estacada was until I put it into Google maps. Apparently it is just as far as my parents’ cabin in Yacolt is!
We got to Estacada and found that the brewery wasn’t open yet so we walked around town a bit and ended up at this wacky resale shop. This was outside:

I wish we had taken more pics inside. Paul found an anciet Oscilloscope. I found a $95 beat up Olliver No.5 typewriter, a vat full of cast iron skillets and various outdated globes. The only thing that Paul took a photo of was this operator switchboard that just looked neat:

The beer was good at Fearless and made us kick ourselves for not bringing growlers to fill. I had the Porter that was nice and even almost a session porter if there could be such a thing. Paul had the IPA that reminded him of the Copacetic IPA at Amnesia. I didn’t really think so. There were 4-5 different hops that had a really great grounding floral mouth feel.

I’ll finish my story about the (un)conference soon I promise! Right now I’m laughing at stuff Paul is doing on his new favorite time waster brokenpicturetelephone while I’m sitting at the table trying to get some button layouts done and drinking som beer. Gotta get some work donw before we leave for the riverhouse after Paul gets off work tomorrow.
